I read today that John McCain is trying to sway Hillary Clinton supporters away from the Obama vote. That got me thinking. First off, if you were going to vote for Clinton, why would you now vote for McCain when his platform strays further from Clinton's than Obama's does? Is it just blind ignorant hate?

Secondly, who are the Ron Paul voters voting for? Are you still writing in Ron Paul?

Good thing Obama spoke in Berlin! Now with all those Germans on board, how could Obama lose!? Wait...can Germans vote in the US election?

Vote Obama. McCain's a douche to his wives.

So apparently Stephen Baldwin told Fox News that if Barack Obama wins the election, he will leave the country. Oh please Stephen, don't leave! What would we do without your finely honed acting abilities like in Flinstones: Viva Rock Vegas or Slapshot 2 or most recently, Celebrity Apprentice.

First off, nobody cares if you leave. Secondly, go ahead. The only thing hurt would be your career. You can't be a guest star on CSI: Miami if you're not in the states. Plus, where are you gonna go? When Johnny Depp left the US, he went to the more liberal/socialist country of France? Where are you going to reside with running water and electricity after 8 pm where conservative Americans are welcomed with open arms?

You just make me want to vote for Obama even more.

Mitt Romney has dropped out of the campaign! Now let's just hope Huckabee and McCain do the same.

P. Diddle says,

INQdrop.com (we're undergoing some maintenance!)
We are re at a critical point in time. We're at the beginning of what might be a devastating recession. Food prices on the rise, taxes on the rise, growing health problems, war, excessive and growing debt, and potentially catastrophic environmental problems.
In light of these and other problems, we should all examine the reasons for which we are voting for our next president. Many of them make the same claims and sure, most of these claims are nothing but words in the wind. But nonetheless, we should all vote for the right person based on the right reasons.
Don't vote for Mitt because he's Mormon. Don't vote for Hillary because she's a woman. Don't vote for Obama because he's Black. And don't vote for Rudy because...9/11, 9/11, 9/11;) Vote for a person based on their qualities, their character, and what they stand for. To vote for them based on skin color, gender, religion, whatever, would be...I don't know how to phrase this... somesort of -ist. Maybe not. But it's silly to think that all our lives we've been taught to ignore and not judge a person based on their race, gender, religion, etc. yet so many of us are focusing primarily on these features.
If we elect someone that becomes the first this or that in US history, that'll be great. History will remember them for that. But for the sake of the world, we must not elect someone just for that footnote in the books. History must remember the president we next elect as someone who changed the world for the betterment of society.
There is still plenty of time to educate yourself. Everyday I educate myself further on the issues. I have switched between candidate preferences multiple times in the past months. Some might call me a flip-flopper and that's okay, because I am learning. And despite my change in candidate preferences, the characteristics and goals remain the same. So please, become more aware.
